A DO... What?

Doula(DOO-lah) is a greek term for "woman servant".

Historically, childbearing women have been supported by knowledgeable and experienced women during the childbirth process. Today, doulas are trained and certified professionals who help mothers, fathers and babies have the best possible childbirth experience. Doulas work in hospitals, homes and birthing centers. Fees vary by region and experience, though typically labor doulas charge a flat rate.
